Ring Out The Old, Ring In The Oud

After filling our house guests Christmas stockings with our luxurious Hand Wash, Hand Lotion and Signature Candles we find ourselves getting ready to greet the New Year.

We are going to welcome January to our door with heavenly scents of nightfall and golden saffron and as the sounds of sleigh bells disappear into the night’s sky we will be raising our glasses of champagne to wish all our customers a safe and happy 2016.

This afternoon we laid a fire and set the dining room table for our dinner guests for tonight's New Year's Eve celebrations. The cracking firewood and soft flames glowing in the grate were the perfect accompaniment to our Saffron and Ginger Candles set in the centre of the table. The fragrance is bright and spicy with blended notes of golden saffron, ginger cardamon and sweet orange bringing together the warmth of sandalwood and amber, the most special and unique scent for any cold winters evening.

On this New Year's Eve our guests will be enjoying a four course dinner with champagne and canopies served in the drawing room to begin the evening's festivities. Our drawing room is more intimate and we have filled gleaming glass vases with the left over eucalyptus from the Christmas displays and tied them with dark navy tartan ribbon.

We lit our beautiful Midnight Oud Candles in here and placed them along the heavy wooden mantlepiece above the fire. The softly spiced woody oriental fragrance drifted through the drawing room welcoming our guests to celebrate this special night. Whatever your resolutions this year, you must add relaxation and luxury to your list, just by lighting one of our candles we can transport you away to a place of splendour and calm.

The scene is set for our guests and the champagne corks will be popping. At midnight we will see the flames of the candles dancing in the wings of our Lilou et Loïc logo and we will wish you all a wonderful 2016!

Look out for our next post coming soon...get to know us and our Lilou et Loïc family "The wind beneath our wings ..."
